人を追いかける空間
「宿る」をテーマに行ったインスタレーション。
人はさまざまな空間に宿る。空間もまた人が居なければ廃虚と化し廃れてしまう。
そんな人と空間の相関関係を、視覚的にも触覚的にも体験できる知覚装置。蜘蛛の巣から着想を得たこのインスタレーションは、人が入るとくっつきながら追いかけてくる生き物のような動きをする。
一束240円ほどの荷造り紐と静電気という身近な素材の新たな可能性を模索し、空間から人に近付いてくる予想外のアクションを可能にした。
space seeks people
The theme of the installation was "Dwelling".
People inhabit various spaces.
Without people, spaces would also become ruins and fall into disrepair.
This is an attempt to visualize the correlation between people and space with a large electrode device.
Inspired by a spider's web, this installation moves like a living creature, sticking to and chasing people as they enter.
I explored the new possibilities of familiar materials - packing string, which costs about 240 yen per bundle, and static electricity - to enable unexpected actions that approach people from the space.
蜘蛛の巣は虫が来る瞬間を一方的に待っているように見える。しかし実際はそうではないらしい。
巣は自ら変形し、虫を捕らえ続ける網だという。＋に帯電した虫が巣に近づくと、巣は静電気によって引き寄せられ虫を捕らえる。
A spider's web appears to wait unilaterally for the moment when an insect arrives. But in fact, it seems that this is not the case.
The web is said to be a web that transforms itself and continues to catch insects. When a + charged insect approaches the web, the web is attracted by static electricity and captures the insect.
