No.1 マイム
インスピレーションはパントマイムの巨匠、マルセル・マルソーである。
彼は「沈黙の詩人」と呼ばれ、言葉を用いることなく存在しない風や檻を現前させ、さらには若さや老い、哀しみや喜びといった抽象的な感情までも観る者に感じさせてくれた。彼の代表的なキャラクターである道化師Bipは、赤い花の揺れるぼろぼろのシルクハットをかぶり、沈黙の世界に詩を吹き込んだ。
本作ではマルソーの表現に通じる無言の詩を、身体表現ではなく、花と機械（メトロノーム）の関係によって立ち上げることを試みた。
No.1 Mime
The inspiration for this work is Marcel Marceau, the master of pantomime.
He was called the “Poet of Silence”, making the unseen wind and cages manifest without words, and even conveying abstract emotions like youth and age, sorrow and joy to his audience. His iconic character, the clown Bip, wore a tattered silk top hat adorned with swaying red flowers, breathing poetry into the world of silence.
This work attempts to evoke a silent poetry akin to Marceau's expression, not through physical performance, but through the relationship between flowers and machinery (metronome).
No.2 花とメトロノーム
メトロノームは本来、正確なテンポを刻み、音楽を統制するための道具である。しかし本作では、その役割を花に委ねている。花の重さや形、瑞々しさ、あるいは枯れかけているかどうかによってテンポは微妙に変化し、ひとつとして同じものはない。メトロノームは正確さを放棄し、生の状態に引きずられながら進行するものとして存在しはじめる。
No.2 Flowers and the Metronome
A metronome is fundamentally a tool for marking precise tempo and controlling music. Yet in this work, that role is entrusted to flowers. The tempo shifts subtly depending on a flower's weight, shape, freshness, or whether it is beginning to wither; no two are alike. The metronome abandons precision, existing instead as something that progresses while being drawn along by its living state.
No.3 沈黙の音楽・沈黙の詩
マルソーが見えない風や時間の流れを、沈黙の中で立ち上げたように、愛らしい花々が左右に揺れる単純な光景もまた、不在の何かを呼び起こすことを願っている。
それは聴こえない音楽かもしれないし、花が内包する儚い時間や、無常かもしれない。
観る者それぞれの記憶や感覚に応じて形を変える、沈黙の詩（うた）である。
No.3 Silent Music・Silent Poetry
Just as Marceau seemed to conjure invisible winds and the passage of time from silence, so too does this simple scene of lovely flowers swaying left and right yearn to evoke something absent.
It may be music that cannot be heard, or the fleeting time contained within a flower, or impermanence itself.
It is a silent poem, shifting shape according to each viewer's memories and senses.
