「今日」を再生するCDのような時計。
この時計には針がなく、CDのように文字盤そのものが時計回りに回転する。
12時間で1回転、24時間で2回転し、音楽の代わりに時間を再生する。
▼の位置にきた目盛りが現在時刻。最も短い目盛りが5分、中くらいの目盛りが10分、数字の書かれた目盛りが時間を示す。「時間を知る道具」としての機能は保ちつつ、新しい時計のあり方を模索した。
A clock like a CD that plays “today.”
This clock has no hands; instead, the dial itself rotates clockwise like a CD.
It completes one rotation every 12 hours and two rotations every 24 hours, playing time instead of music.
The current time is indicated by the markings positioned at the ▼ location. The shortest markings represent 5 minutes, the medium markings represent 10 minutes, and the markings with numbers indicate the hour.
While preserving its function as a “tool for knowing time,” it explores a new form of timekeeping.
